Here is my list from last year:

  1. Do not fret about deadlines.
  2. Lose weight.
  3. Stop biting fingernails once and for all.
  4. Stop damaging my feet and fingers.
  5. Quit soda & unnecessary sweets.
  6. Exercise more.
  7. Read more of the Bible.
  8. Finish Hammered, if possible.
  9. Volunteer.
  10. Give more to church and to others.
  11. Get out of debt, or at least pay off one card.
  12. Complete list of tasks in master to-do list.
  13. Donate plasma.
  14. Enjoy life more!

I haven’t decided on any for this coming year yet. As always, there are several on that list I could just re-use.

Lose weight, for instance (although this year that goal was hampered by my becoming pregnant again). Stop biting my fingernails. Read more of the Bible. Volunteer. Give more.

I did quit soda for about five months, but in June my stomach was in such rotten shape I started drinking Sprite to settle it, and I fell off the wagon with an audible thud. I’ve made one half-hearted attempt to quit drinking soda again since, but instead I’ve succeeded in developing a taste for Diet Dr Pepper.

Hammered is not going to reach completion for possibly several more years, if even that short, so it’s off the list. Instead, I’ll replace it with “Write Adrian, already; you’ve had the idea for 10 years! Hurry up, woman!”

I can’t donate plasma – my veins are apparently so tiny they make the technicians nervous. Chris can’t donate either as long as he is on insulin, which will be the rest of his life, so that’s out.

I have definitely been enjoying life more, though, so that has been a successfully met resolution. I’m just going to leave it on there, too, to inspire myself and others for 2010.

Who else has or had resolutions? What are or were they?
